The wheels weren't true out of the box, but otherwise everything was as it should be, the wheels are fast, hold their speed well, good at accelerating, haven't ridden the wheels in so much wind yet that I can make a review of it, but they seem to be good in the wind too, but that will depend on a test later, the ceramic bearings are great, the house own hub is super duper and the sound is not something you notice as they don't make that much noise, and if you want a louder sound from the hub then just use a 54 tooth star ratchet, that's what I've heard.

I put the wheels on my Specialized Crux while I am waiting for the XDR freehub to arrive. And to be honest after a couple of miles I was thinking these are no better than the aluminium rims I have taken off but then after around 5 mile what a transformation. Hills seemed to be so much easier and in a higher gear, the bike just kept accelerating on the decents. I broke 5 PR's on Strava without trying, I cannot tell you the extent of the improvement with these wheels. Would I recommend? I most certainly would

I paired the Maui 45s with my tarmac SL8 and they feel very light, especially suitable for the rolling hills in Hong Kong. I paired them with Galfer rotors to further reduce weight. They feel very crisp and responsive with the 54T. Also the hub sound is more quiet then some other wheels, which like and I don’t like loud hubs.

The Maui are a great set of wheels for everyday riding!
